My Recommendation

Herbert Spencer was one of the most prominent figures in political sociology. He is stated to be the creator of neoliberalism (neoclassical liberalism or conservative liberalism). He is especially appreciated in the UK and USA where both economic liberalism and conservative approach to tradition and religion are, at one time, perceived as needed factors that enable a state to function properly. I want to recommend to you one of his works entitled "The Man versus the State"(1884). This book presents, in a concise form, his main ideas concernig neoliberalism and its practical application. My Future

It's year 2014. I live with my husband and our 2 year old son somewhere in Wielkopolska (most probably in Poznań). A couple of days ago I have got to know that I am pregnant again. My daily routine is as follows: 1)I get up at 7 o'clock, 2)my husband, son and I eat breakfast, 3) my husband takes our offspring with him into the car and drives him to my grandmother/ aunt or my friend Magda and then, he goes to work, 4) I take the tram number xx and also reach my workplace (I work as an employment agent,advertising agent, civil servant, policewoman or representative of prison authority) 5)after work at about 4 p.m. I do shopping and take my son home, 6)I cook dinner, clean the house, take care of my son and wait for my husband, 7)then, we eat together, 7)my husband or I read fairy tales and our son falls asleep,8) now we have a little time for ourselves: we read newspapers, books or watch films etc. Other weekdays look similarly to this one with one difference: two times a week when my husband appears at home after work, I leave home and go to my second work where I teach English. My weekdays are hectic as life is no bed of roses. However, at weekends our family in order to relax devotes its free time to meetings with other family members , friends, trips and other pleasures.

The new American President

Since the American president has a lot of power and his decisions influences lives of people around the world, the choice of the new man for this position is the event which is of high importance for almost everyone. It is obvious that what he thinks and intends to introduce or abolish will somehow have impact on us. Nowadays many Americans believe that the reign of Obama will bring some positive changes in the country and foreign policy. They are very optimistic, hopeful and see only the bright side of future. I think that even though Mr.Obama might perform some positive actions, he will not be good at dealing with everything. Therefore, it is good to take the recent events with a pinch of salt. Maybe I am too pesimistic but for me everything that appears to be promising in politics, usually proves to be only half as good as it was claimed to be.

My Teaching Practice

My first lesson in which I played the role of a teacher took place on 17th October 2008. I think that it wasn’t so bad as I had expected it to be. I believe that for the first time it was OK since I did everything that I had planned to cover. What is more, I wasn’t very nervous and, as a result, I was able to communicate with students rather successfully. On the other hand, there were some problems connected with discipline. Students were too noisy when the lesson started but after relatively short time I managed to calm them down.
I enjoy teaching and I want to teach in the future. However, I cannot call myself a good professional since I feel I still must learn some things and improve my way of teaching .

My Christmas

When I was a child I really loved Christmas. For me it started on 23^rd December every year as it was the time when I, my sister and my father were decorating our Christmastree while my mother was cooking and baking. I remember that there was frequently plenty of quarrels about where to hang the most attractive glass balls. It happend often that we called mom to come from the kitchen and play the role of an arbiter who gives a final verdict. Eventually, we were always proud of ourselves and admired the marvellous effect of our cooperation. Then, it was the time for me and my sister to go to bed and the parents secretely packed the presents. On the Christmas Eve, my both grandmothers, grandfather and aunt came. All together we were waiting for the first star, praying, reading the Bible, eating delicious dishes, talking with Santa Clause ( who always appeared in the late evening) and enjoying our presents. My granny often sang carrols. All this created the unique and wonderful atmosphere that I will always remember:). Before midnight my mom, dad, sister and I went to church. When we were back at home I checked whether my canary, 2 parrots and guinea pig talk. Then, we ate again and went to bed. It was usually the end of the best part of Christmas period for me. The next two days, which are the Christmas days, were also great but meant less to me. In the picture you can see me and my elder sister , Ania.

My Music

Music is important to me. My world would be definitely less enjoyable without it. For me different tunes are meaningful and remind me about particular events and people in my life. Some memories are sweet and nice while others are gloomy and disheartening. Both of them are significant as they create together a full and true picture of my life .

I don't have favourite band. I like many artists for example, Kult, Pidżama Porno, Strachy na Lachy, T.Love, Dżem, O.N.A., M. Grechuta, The Killers, U2, Guns n' Roses, Muse, Led Zeppelin, Green Day.
Lastly, I enjoy listening to "Nocne Ulice". I associate this song with my city, friends, parties and fun. It is full of energy, makes me feel positively and look at everyday life hopefully. It is the best voice quality I've found:
